Our take
3.5/5Kennedy Gold Mine gives a birthday outing a clear subject for children who enjoy history: a historic mine in Jackson. Guided and self-guided tours let families choose how they explore, which is useful when deciding how much structure the group needs. The mine itself supplies the focus of the visit.
This suits a group that would enjoy a shared tour and questions about the past. Plan around the seasonal tour schedule, and ask about group arrangements before inviting guests. Any separate celebration needs its own arrangements; start by deciding how the tour will fit into the birthday.
