Our take
3/5Kern County Fair & Event Center is a venue-rental option for parents who already have a celebration in mind. Its rental uses include private parties and family reunions, so a family gathering fits the center's event mix. The appeal is having a place to build your own occasion in Bakersfield.
For a children's birthday, the choice depends on the particular space and the activities you intend to arrange. Contact the rental team about your proposed event before settling on the guest list. Treat this as a space inquiry, with the children's entertainment planned separately unless the center confirms otherwise.
