Our take
3/5Mason's Place in Northport is worth considering for a birthday built around playground time. Its all-inclusive playground identity is the main draw for families looking at this kind of outing. I would approach it as a casual gathering, with play as the reason to meet and the rest of the celebration arranged around that.
The playground pavilion is not available for private rental, so your plan should work without a reserved pavilion. Decide where the group will gather and how you will handle the birthday meal before inviting everyone.
