Our take
3/5Alma/Bacon County Recreation Park suits a family that wants to build a birthday gathering around a park shelter. Scheduling the shelter through the parks director gives the group a meeting place in Alma. The appeal is a celebration shaped by the family, with the shelter as its base.
I would plan the children's activities before choosing this format. Ask about shelter access and permitted food arrangements when you contact the director, then decide what equipment to bring. It is a reasonable choice for parents who enjoy organizing the gathering themselves.
