Our take
3.5/5Ice skating gives a winter birthday at Huck Finn Ice Rink a clear activity, especially for children who enjoy spending time on the ice. Skate rentals are available, which helps when guests do not have their own equipment. The snack bar and fire pit add useful options around the skating portion of the outing.
The main constraint is the calendar: skating runs December through February, weather permitting. Keep a backup plan and check conditions before bringing the group to Leadville. Hockey equipment and a sound system are also available; ask how those would fit your intended visit before making them part of the celebration.
