Our take
3.5/5Fruit Growers Park has a useful combination for a simple outdoor birthday: a playground, barbecue, and picnic tables. Children can make play the focus while parents organize a meal around the gathering. For a family in Susanville that enjoys a park celebration, those practical features give the outing a clear shape.
Park and field reservations are available for a fee. Ask how a reservation applies to your chosen area and whether it covers the facilities you intend to use. The strongest fit is a family happy to organize the food and let playground time carry much of the celebration.
