Birthday score3/5
How we rateJohnson Center for the Arts in Troy has children's arts education and rents venue areas to members. For a birthday centered on art, first ask whether a member rental can accommodate your celebration and whether an activity can be arranged for the children's ages. Clarify the relationship between the room rental and any arts instruction before inviting guests. That conversation should also establish the cost and what parents need to organize.

Our take
3/5For a child interested in art, Johnson Center for the Arts in Troy is worth considering for a celebration built around that interest. Its children's arts education gives families a reason to explore the setting, while venue areas are available for members to rent.
Membership is the practical starting point. Before planning activities or inviting guests, ask whether a member rental can accommodate your celebration and what arrangements apply. The education program and rental space are separate considerations; a birthday plan should establish how the children will spend their time.
