Our take
3.5/5Mary Siah Recreation Center gives a swim-centered birthday a practical starting point: group swim rentals can be booked by phone. For a child whose friends enjoy swimming, that group booking route makes it easier to begin arranging a shared activity in Fairbanks.
Call the center to discuss the gathering before fixing the invitation details. Ask how the rental would work for your group and what supervision parents need to arrange. Let the swim determine the day's timing, then coordinate any separate birthday plans around it. This is a good fit when swimming is the main reason the children want to get together.
