Our take
3.5/5Valdez City Pool makes sense for a birthday centered on swimming. At $80 an hour, the whole facility rental includes both pools, the waiting room and one attraction, giving the celebration a broader scope than renting a single pool. There is also a $10 nonrefundable scheduling fee.
Adult participation is the main planning consideration. In the water, groups need one adult for every three children under five, one for every six children ages five through seven, and one for every twelve children ages eight through eleven. Ages twelve through seventeen require an adult present. Request Saturday rentals at least two weeks ahead; facility, attraction and staff availability determine what can be booked.
