Our take
4/5May Day Park has the ingredients for a varied outdoor birthday: playground time and a picnic, with beach access adding another reason to choose it. That combination suits families who want to organize a relaxed gathering with room for different interests. The playground and picnic can give the celebration a simple focus.
Fishing and kayak or canoe access add possibilities for a group interested in those activities. Decide which parts of the park will shape your outing, and plan adult supervision around any time near the water. Equipment and boating arrangements need separate consideration.
