Our take
3/5Optimist Park in Huntsville is a reasonable choice for families planning their own outdoor birthday around playground time. Baseball is another listed activity, making the park worth considering for a child who enjoys that sport. Keep the day's expectations focused on the activities you can arrange for your particular group.
Use the city's special event process to discuss the gathering before sending invitations. Ask whether your plans need approval and whether any baseball space can be reserved. Parents should also settle the food arrangements and supervision plan themselves when comparing this public group outing with a hosted party.
