Our take
3.5/5A paddling outing gives a birthday group a shared activity, and Pea River Outdoors in Elba rents both canoes and kayaks. River shuttle service is a useful practical addition when planning the trip. This is an appealing direction for a child who wants the celebration to revolve around being on the water.
Before booking, discuss the children's experience and the proposed group with the operator. Ask which rental arrangement suits the participants and how the shuttle fits the outing. Adults should establish the trip details before setting a birthday schedule or deciding where the group will gather afterward.
