Our take
3/5Garrison Elementary School is a DC public school on S Street NW. For a birthday tied to this school community, the first step is a conversation with the school about whether a gathering can take place there. Treat any celebration as a school-approved arrangement, with the family deciding what kind of event to propose.
Before inviting guests, settle which space could be used and when families could arrive. Ask about food and adult responsibilities, too. This option makes most sense for parents who already have a connection to Garrison.
