Our take
3/5An arboretum is a reasonable birthday idea for a child who enjoys plants and an outdoor setting. I would keep the concept simple, with the visit as the main occasion and a group whose interests suit that setting. The Tuscaloosa location gives local families an option to discuss for a parent-organized outing.
Contact the arboretum directly about your intended gathering before making arrangements. Explain whether you want a visit or space for a celebration, and ask what permission each requires. Settle food plans and group activities before sending invitations.
