Party packages
Museum facilities may be rented by donation for in-district residents or their families. Out-of-district use may require a fee or donation and board approval. A refundable $200 deposit applies. Event hours are 9 a.m.–10 p.m.; extra charges may apply outside those hours.
Rental fees and approval
Residents of the museum district or their families may rent museum facilities by donation. Use by people from outside the district may require a fee or donation and board approval. The $200 refundable deposit is separate from those terms. Ask the museum which terms apply to your gathering before you book.
Food and kitchen use
Food or beverages inside museum buildings need prior approval. Discuss your food and cake plans with the museum before the party. The kitchen is for warming food only, so plan any cooking elsewhere.
Our take
3.5/5Little Snake River Museum suits a family that wants to organize its own gathering around a historic setting. The buildings and exhibits give the day a clear focus, while donation based facility use is a useful option for district residents and their families. Families coming from outside the district need to allow for approval and different payment terms.
Adult supervision needs planning here: children must stay with the party indoors or have a dedicated monitor outside. The refundable $200 deposit and prior approval for food in museum buildings also belong in the preparations. The warming only kitchen limits how much cooking you can do on site.
