Our take
3/5For a child who enjoys making things, the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Arts Council has a relevant starting point: children's painting and seasonal craft projects. Those activities give a creative birthday outing a clear focus. The choice makes most sense when the birthday child is interested in the project itself and would enjoy spending the visit working on it.
Start with the current children's painting or craft schedule when considering a date. Ask the council whether the activity can accommodate your group and how participation works. Keep the gathering centered on a suitable session, with any separate celebration arranged around it.
