Our take
3.5/5Hardee Lakes Park works well for a birthday built around outdoor time and a few activities chosen by the family. Playground play can anchor the gathering, with hiking or biking for children who want to keep moving. Fishing and wildlife viewing give a group other ways to spend time together without a fixed party program.
Keep the schedule realistic for the season. The park closes at 8 PM from April through August and at 5:30 PM from September through March. Choose activities that suit your guests, and decide how adults will divide their attention if the group wants to split up.
