Our take
3.5/5The covered observation deck gives a Columbia Lake Beach birthday a clear gathering place, with reserved picnic tables for a small celebration. This suits families who enjoy arranging their own party and want a beach setting with somewhere to regroup. The two-hour rental costs $150, with a separate $50 refundable deposit.
Keep the invitation list compact: the capacity is 20 people altogether, so adults count toward the limit. The main strength is the reserved space itself. Plan the birthday around that base and settle any arrangements for beach activities separately before inviting guests.
