Our take
3.5/5Dinosaur Journey has enough different ways to explore prehistoric life to give a dinosaur-loving group something to talk about throughout an outing. Life-size skeletons and robotic reconstructions add visual interest, while fossils and working paleontology labs connect the visit to the work behind the displays.
The interactive displays and simulated earthquake exhibit give children more to do than look at bones. The museum describes its audience as kids of all ages; individual enthusiasm for dinosaurs is the more useful guide for choosing birthday guests. Plan the visit around the exhibits your child most wants to explore, with celebration arrangements handled separately.
