Our take
3/5For a birthday child who already enjoys golf, Marion Military Institute Golf Course gives the outing a clear focus. The nine-hole green fee is $10 per person, making a shorter round a reasonable starting point when deciding how much golf the group would enjoy. Eighteen holes cost $15 per person.
This suits a group happy to make golf the main event. Choose the round length around the children's interest and stamina, and arrange any birthday meal separately. Cart fees are additional, so include those when comparing the total cost.
