Our take
4/5Clausell Park gives an active birthday group several real choices, including tennis, basketball and a playground. That variety makes it appealing when the children enjoy outdoor activity but do not all want the same game. Swimming and softball are also listed, so choose a focus before planning the day's schedule.
Pay attention to timing: extending park hours requires a facility rental, listed at $75 per day. The separate $200 softball tournament rental covers three fields and needs at least seven days' notice. That is an option for a celebration built around a tournament.
