Our take
2.5/5The UC Aquatic Center at the Berkeley Marina suits a birthday child whose interest in water activities can fit an organized class. Scheduled Adventures classes and outdoor summer youth camps give the facility a clear instructional focus. For a group celebration, start by checking whether a suitable session can accommodate everyone.
Equipment rental has a significant restriction: renters must be course graduates or demonstrate on-water proficiency. That makes a casual rental plan awkward for a mixed-experience group. Choose the activity around the participants' existing skills and the center's scheduled offerings.
