Our take
3/5Merced County Fairgrounds is worth considering when you want to investigate a rental space for a birthday you organize yourself. The fairgrounds has a rental application route, so the useful first step is to describe the celebration you have in mind. A family with a specific activity or setup planned has a clearer reason to pursue this option.
Ask which rentable space would suit your gathering before deciding whether to proceed. Discuss permitted activities and the arrangements for food, setup and cleanup. Judge the proposed space against your actual party plan, including how much organizing you want to take on.
