Our take
3.5/5Lincoln Park gives an Alameda birthday picnic a useful foundation: three picnic areas with tables that families can reserve through the city. A reserved gathering place suits parents who want to organize their own celebration and keep the meal central to the day. The appeal here is having a defined place for the group to come together.
Allow for the reservation rules before settling on a date. Bookings require at least three hours and seven days' advance notice, which makes this a better fit for a planned picnic than a last-minute gathering.
