Peoria Zoo's hosted birthday packages pair a zoo visit with a private room and a visit from three or four animal ambassadors. The $325 Deluxe package includes admission for up to 15 people, a two-hour room, a coordinator and a birthday child's T-shirt; extra guests are $12 each. The $275 Zooper package includes a 90-minute room and coordinator for up to 25 guests, but admission costs extra. The zoo also has a $75 Party Pack with admission for the birthday child and a short animal encounter. Reserve at least two weeks ahead by calling the Education Department.

Choose a package
Deluxe includes zoo admission for up to 15 people and lets you choose a Treetops or Tropics room. Zooper includes the Tropics room for up to 25 guests, with zoo admission purchased separately. Both hosted packages include a coordinator, an animal ambassador visit and a T-shirt for the birthday child. The $75 Party Pack is for the birthday child during a zoo visit and includes a 10-to-15-minute animal encounter.
Food and planning details
Families may bring food and tabletop decorations. Bring your own plates, cups, napkins and serving utensils; the zoo has no refrigeration. Balloons, confetti, piñatas, noisemakers and bouncy balls are not allowed. Hosted packages require a nonrefundable $150 deposit when booking, with the remaining package balance due two weeks before the party.

How far ahead should we book?
Parties must be booked at least two weeks ahead. The zoo recommends booking about a month in advance to get your preferred date and time.
Does the Zooper package include zoo admission?
No. Admission is extra for Zooper; the Deluxe package includes admission for up to 15 people.
Can we bring food?
Yes. The zoo allows outside food, but there is no refrigeration. Bring your own serving supplies and let the Education staff know if you plan to serve food.
