Our take
3.5/5For a child interested in space, W.A. Gayle Planetarium gives a birthday outing a clear centerpiece: a planetarium show. Private group showings are available on weekdays, making that format worth discussing when the guest list can meet during the week. Ask whether your birthday plans fit the group-booking arrangements.
A Saturday public show is another way to build an outing around the planetarium. Admission is $7.50 per person age 3 and older, with children under 3 free. Plan any meal or cake separately, and keep the show as the main event.
