Our take
3/5Pillans Park in Mobile is a practical option to consider for a birthday organized around a public park gathering. It suits families who enjoy shaping the celebration themselves and want the location to be a meeting place for their own plans. Keep the invitation clear about where everyone should meet at the South Broad Street site.
Before setting a date, contact the city's parks and recreation department about arrangements for your group. A short celebration with a few familiar activities is a sensible starting point. Build in a weather backup and decide which adults will coordinate arrivals and supervise the children.
