Our take
4/5Melvin Roberts Park gives a family several ways to build an active birthday. Baseball, tennis, and basketball suit a group that wants a game at the center of the outing, while the playground offers another focus. A covered pavilion makes the park especially useful for bringing everyone together during the celebration.
Choose one main activity so the party has a clear meeting point and rhythm. The nature trail could suit a group that prefers a walk to a game. Before settling the plan, ask about access to the pavilion and whichever sports space you intend to use.
