Our take
3/5For a birthday child who loves softball, Bay Minette Sports Complex has a clear appeal: four 300-foot fields and batting cages. The setting suits a gathering built around the sport, with parents choosing how much of the day to devote to playing. A two-story concession stand is also part of the complex.
Contact the city about field access and permission for your celebration before sending invitations. Standard hours run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; organized events beyond those hours require city authorization. Plan the gathering around the access you arrange.
