Our take
3.5/5For current members, Jones Valley Recreation Association's poolside pavilion gives a swimming birthday a place to gather between activities. Rental costs $25 per hour, and non-member guests cost $5 each. That arrangement suits a family comfortable organizing its own celebration around the pool.
Guest numbers affect the budget, and extra lifeguard charges may apply. Work through the association's chaperone requirements before sending invitations, including its policy concerning an accompanying non-swimming parent for young-child guests. The pavilion is a useful base, while membership and adult attendance requirements shape who can organize the event and how.
