Our take
3/5Jack Allen Soccer Complex makes sense for a birthday group whose shared interest is soccer. A family-organized athletic outing could give the celebration a clear focus, especially when the birthday child wants to play with friends. The important first step is establishing how your proposed gathering fits the city's field-use process.
Field use involves fees and advance application deadlines for athletic events. Allow time for that process before sending invitations, and settle the playing arrangements before planning the rest of the day. This is a reasonable option for parents comfortable organizing the activity and working within a municipal sports facility's reservation requirements.
