Our take
3.5/5Etta Freeman Park in Decatur lends itself to a birthday built around a picnic and time together outside. Pavilions and picnic tables give the gathering a practical focus, while the walking trail offers something to do between sitting down. The fountain and gazebos add interest for a group happy with a gentle pace.
I would choose it for a family that enjoys organizing its own celebration. Before choosing a meeting spot, ask about pavilion use and arrangements for your group. Keep the itinerary simple enough that the picnic and a walk can carry the occasion without a packed activity schedule.
