Our take
3/5Donkey Mill Art Center is a promising option for a birthday child who enjoys making art alongside family. The Holualoa center has parent-and-child art experiences as well as family and teen workshops. Those formats give an art-focused outing a clear purpose, especially when the celebration can fit around a scheduled program.
Choose the activity first and contact the center about bringing your group before planning the rest of the day. Its family programming provides the basis for this outing; a dedicated children's birthday event is not established. Keep the birthday arrangements separate unless the center agrees to accommodate them.
