Our take
3/5The Filling Station Coffee Haus in Berne is a candidate for a birthday child who would enjoy a café get-together. Consider it for a gathering built around time at the table, with the guest list and timing discussed directly with the business. That format makes the most sense when conversation is part of the celebration's appeal.
Weekday hours run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the kitchen closes at 2 p.m. If food is central to your Saturday plans, arrange the timing around that earlier cutoff and ask about accommodating your group.
