Our take
3/5Puttshack at Village on the Parkway plays mini golf with tracked balls. The course keeps score on its own, so kids can follow a live leaderboard instead of arguing over strokes. The Kids Birthday Party is for 10 to 18 guests and is listed at $25. You pick the date and a menu online, and the food runs to wings, burgers and other shareable plates.
The building is a restaurant and bar as much as a golf course. Evenings get loud and busy, and there is a full bar for adults. A daytime slot will probably suit younger children better. Groups larger than 18 move into the event packages, which start at $36 per guest. Every age can play, which makes it easy to bring siblings and grandparents.
