Our take
2/5University affiliation is the deciding factor for a birthday gathering on this Birmingham campus green. Reservations are limited to UAB groups or groups sponsored by UAB, so a family considering the space needs an eligible route to booking. That restriction makes it a narrow choice for a private children's celebration.
If your group qualifies, discuss the proposed gathering before fixing the date or guest list. Ask how the reservation rules apply to your event and what activities are permitted. Make the birthday plans around the use the university actually approves.
