Our take
4/5Greystone YMCA gives active birthday groups a useful choice between swimming and a gym party with a bounce house. The two-hour format keeps the celebration contained, and allowing outside food gives families flexibility over what to serve. Membership makes a substantial difference: Y Splash and Y Stadium cost $275 for members and $550 for nonmembers.
Pool parties need careful adult planning. Swimmers under 13 must take a swim test; those who do not pass need an approved life jacket or an adult within arm’s reach. Booking requires a $50 nonrefundable deposit. Choose the activity around the children’s comfort in the water.
